-  HIA is working on creating a 2009-2011 Directory for the Tennessee Valley Community and looking for sponsorships from the local community in forms of family "Best Compliments" or Business Ads.   Please submit your sponsorship information to Mital Modi at hsvindia.association@gmail.com.   Sponsorship forms are also available at the local Indian grocery stores. - Posted on 3/17/2009 
 
 
 - HOLI MELA Cultural Participation - Please contact Neel Patel at neelpatel924@yahoo.com or Jay Gala at jai.gala@gmail.com if you are interested in performing a Dance/Song during the Cultural Show.  You can also fill out the Cultural Entry Form located in the "Upcoming Events" Tab and send it to the chairs.
 
 - HIA is currently working on making a new directory containing contact information of Indian community memebers from the TN Valley Area. The Directory will also include information of local indian/American businesses, which will be available to the community. HIA is looking for volunteers who can take charge of the following catagories for the directory:
 
  1. Membership
  2. Advertisements from Families
  3. Advertisements from Businesses
  4. Technical Editor(s)
  5. Publication

 - From the Hindu Cultural Center of North Alabama (HCCNA): 

We are very pleased to provide more information about spiritual retreat which was first announced a few weeks back.
 
The purpose of this retreat is to have a better and comprehensive understanding of Indian / Hindu religion, philosophy, and spirituality, which has guided millions of people with a very broad outlook over thousands of years to obtain fulfillment towards individual excellence, peace, and prosperity as well as international harmony and universal well being.  Revered swamijies of the Vedanta Societies of Portland, Providence, and Los Angeles who are well versed in these subjects have kindly consented to be our speakers. Various topics relevant to all ages and other activities including inauguration of the temple library will be pearled together to make the program an enlightening experience.
