Huntsville India Association (HIA)

Huntsville India Association is a 25 year old non profit, non partisan, non sectarian, and secular organization, which represents the Asian Indian community in North Alabama. One of the most important objectives of the organization is to educate Huntsville and North Alabama communities about India, which is the world's largest democracy. The organization undertakes charitable, educational, scientific, and cultural programs.

HIA gets ready for the Annual International Festival hosted by the University of Alabama at Huntsville, and the annual Diwali celebrations, Diwali Dhamaka 2011

Government of India has purchased a building located at  4300 Scotland Street, Houston, Texas 77007 for consulate General of India, Houston. The Consulate will be shifting to its new premises from Thursday, 25 August – Monday, 29 August, 2011.

Atlanta Comedy Tour, headed by Tushar Singh, came to the Flying Monkey Arts Center, on September 9th and 10th of 2011. Tickets cost $15. Money made went to charity.

HIA hosted its Annual Picnic Event at the Monte Sano State Park on July 24th, 2011.
